Task Mining

What actually happens on the desktop, between the system events?

NOT BUILT

This screen does not exist yet. Nothing on this screen is computed and there is no data behind it. What follows is a description of the screen, written so the shape of the product can be read - it is not a result. The only figures on this page are the container's own event and case totals in the bar above; nothing below them has been measured, because nothing has been taken.

What this screen will do

The event log records what the systems recorded. This screen will record what the person did - the copy-paste, the re-keying, the swivel-chair between two applications that no system logs - and join it to the case it belongs to, so desktop work and system events sit on one timeline.

What it will show when it exists

  • Task-level activity captured from the desktop agent.
  • The keystroke and application patterns that repeat across cases, which are the raw material the Automations screen ranks.
  • Where the same value is entered twice, which is the classic hidden cost.
  • The share of cases that have any desktop data at all.

What it will need first

The desktop agent running on the machines that do the work. Until it is deployed there is nothing to show, and when there is, the screen will state what share of cases it covers rather than implying it sees everything.
